Completed project

Digital prototype for an industrial mechanical assembly

CAD modeling and functional simulation

Project context

Development of a complex digital prototype for an assembly of mechanical parts, used in the equipment industry. The goal was to validate functionality before any investment in physical production.

Approach and execution

The project involved creating a detailed CAD model for a mechanical assembly consisting of over 50 components. Motion simulations and interference analyses were performed to optimize the assembly's operation before manufacturing.

Final result

The final result was a fully functional digital prototype, ready for testing and production. The model includes all adjustments resulting from simulations, eliminating risks of collision and assembly errors.

Support materials

  • — Native CAD file (SolidWorks, format .SLDPRT / .SLDASM)
  • — Kinematic simulation and interference analysis report
  • — Technical documentation for assembly and service

Process stages

1

Requirements analysis

Identifying technical specifications and operational constraints for the mechanical assembly.

2

CAD modeling

Digital construction of parts and their assembly into a coherent 3D model, ready for simulation.

3

Simulation and validation

Testing movements and analyzing interferences to eliminate errors before manufacturing.
